Chatzyo is a free video, voice and text chat platform connecting people globally — with dedicated language rooms for English, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Spanish, Arabic, French and German, alongside country pages for Brazil, Mexico, Indonesia, the USA and beyond.
Chatzyo started in 2025 solving one specific problem — Tamil speakers in Kuala Lumpur, Telugu speakers in New Jersey, and Hindi speakers in London couldn't find a random chat platform that actually matched them by language. Every platform treated language speakers as generic global users, which meant every match was a gamble on whether the other person spoke any language you understood.
Random video chat platforms existed. Omegle had shut down in November 2023. OmeTV required Facebook login. Chatrandom locked its filters behind coins. None of them had built a Tamil room, a Telugu room, or rooms for any specific language community at all.
Chatzyo was built in Coimbatore — the heart of Tamil Nadu — because it was personal. The diaspora communities in Singapore, Malaysia, the UK, and the US were searching for exactly this kind of platform. We knew it because we were part of those communities. What started as a Tamil-first platform has since grown into language and country pages spanning Spanish, Arabic, French, German, Brazil, Mexico, Indonesia and more — built the same way the first ones were: for a specific community, not a generic crowd.
Chatzyo was founded and built by Gowrishankar Rangasamy, a developer based in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. The platform was designed from the ground up to solve a specific problem — not as a general-purpose chat tool, but as a community platform built around language identity, starting with Tamil and growing from there.
Built Chatzyo in 2025 after recognising that no random video chat platform served language communities with dedicated rooms, no login requirements, and a genuinely free experience. The platform was designed for Tamil speakers first — and has since expanded to English, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Spanish, Arabic, French, German and more based on community need.
Chatzyo is also supported by a small moderation team that reviews all reported content within 2 hours. Moderation is done by real people — not automated systems alone — because the platform was built with community safety as a core requirement, not an afterthought.
Every major random video chat platform was built for a global, language-neutral audience. That design choice works for some users. For language communities spread across the world — speakers of Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Spanish, Arabic, French, German and more — it created a consistent problem: random matching means random language, and a chat platform where you cannot communicate is not a chat platform at all.
Tamil speakers in Malaysia and Singapore, Arabic speakers across Europe, French speakers far from home — none of them had a way to find each other on OmeTV, Chatroulette or Chatrandom. Diaspora communities worldwide were using platforms that treated them as any other generic global user.
Platforms that did offer country or language filters charged coins for them. Basic connection control became a paid feature. Chatzyo's entire platform — including language rooms, country pages, voice and video — is free with no purchase ever required.
Most platforms required app downloads, social media accounts, or email registration. Chatzyo works entirely in a browser — Chrome on Android, Safari on iPhone, or any desktop browser. No download, no signup, no storage used on your device.
No platform had a Tamil room, an Arabic room, or a French room. Adding "Tamil" as an interest tag on Emerald Chat does not match you with Tamil speakers. Only a dedicated language room does. Chatzyo now has rooms spanning 10+ languages and counting.
Chatzyo is a browser-based platform offering free video call, voice chat, and text chat in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Spanish, Arabic, French, German, English and more. No registration is required at any point. The platform is accessible from India and 15+ countries worldwide, including the UK, USA, UAE, Malaysia, Singapore, France, Germany, Brazil, Mexico, Indonesia, Canada, and Australia.
Country-specific pages — for India, the USA, Brazil, Mexico, Indonesia and more — are something most random chat platforms have never built. For users who want context and honesty about how matching actually works in their part of the world, Chatzyo is one of the few platforms that bothers to explain it directly rather than promising a filter that doesn't exist.
No conversations are recorded. No video is stored. No personal profile is visible to other users. You chat and leave — nothing remains on our servers. We do not sell user data and never will.
Every feature on Chatzyo — video call, voice rooms, text chat, language rooms, country pages — is free. No coins, no premium tier, no daily cap. Chatzyo earns through advertising, not user payments.
Chatzyo was built by someone from the communities it serves. Decisions about language support, features, and moderation are made with each language community's needs in mind — not generic global metrics.
